Case of Fact
•When the government is given an instance where they must prove the resolution or fact true, while the opposition proves the resolution or fact false (If your opp strike this first if given the choice Gov choose this one )

Value debate
•The type of debate with the Government proposing and defending a particular philosophical stance, the philosophy case focuses on abstract principles rather than concrete policies. The philosophy case revolves around a discussion of whether the Government can demonstrate that their interpretation of the moral and philosophical state of things is correct. While real-world evidence can be used to bolster a philosophical assertion, the primary focus is on the clash of philosophical values. These cases will use words like value, moral or believe
•* Liberty should be valued more than equality.
•* Justice is believed to be morally valued than life.
•* It is moral to actively take one innocent life to save ten others.
Policy debate
•The Policy Case
•The Gov policy case identifies a particular problem in the world, puts forward a policy plan designed to solve that problem, and urges that this plan be adopted by the U.S. Congress, the Supreme Court, the United Nations, or some other actor (this need not be a governmental body). These case requires action in will use words like should or would to imply action
•* Possession and use of marijuana should be decriminalized.
* The United Nations should grant Japan a permanent seat on the Security Council.
•* The corporate income tax should be abolished.
•* The Republican Party should remove the anti-abortion plank from its national platform
